SMC Home Finance was established in 1996 by Donald Fader after spending time in management roles with First American Savings and First South Bank. The company is licensed as a non-depository mortgage lender under the supervision and regulation of the North Carolina Commissioner of Banks. SMC is a privately held company and Mr. Fader provides the ongoing management, vision and direction for the company.

Located in the president’s hometown of Kinston, North Carolina, the corporate office houses origination, accounting, processing and servicing for operations throughout North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. Our commitment to these markets shows continuing growth and development beyond Eastern North Carolina where SMC had its humble beginnings.
